Discover how you can backup text messages, Apps, Contacts, Call log, calendar and bookmarks on your smartphone.
You never know when something might happen to your smartphone. You might accidentally drop it and seriously hurt your device. So, it is always a good idea to have a backup of all your data, but with Super BackUp App, you know that you will always be able to backup your text messages, Apps, Contacts, Call log, Calendar and bookmarks.
Super Backup is a free app you can download over at Google Play And will allow you to backup your data not only to your phone´s SD card but also to your Google Gmail and Drive account. This way, if your SD card were also to be damaged, you will be able to count on a backup.
One thing to keep in mind about the app is that that the data will always be backed up by the phone´s internal storage, if your phone has it. The reason for this setup is because the phone reports storage that way. Remember, if you are going to do a factory reset, make sure that the default backup is set to you external SD card.
There are some features in the app that are going to need root access such as:
- Backup and Restore Apps Data
- Batch restore apps from SD card
Those are the only two features that will only work on a rooted Android device, but all the others don´t need root access. With a non-rooted phone, you will be able to Backup apps to SD card, Backup contacts & SMS & Call logs & Bookmarks & Calendars to SD card. You will also be able to restore the previously mentioned data, and you can even select which SMS conversations you want to backup.
The app also offers scheduled backups, lets you erase a backup, enables you to download backup files from Google Drive, shows last backup count and time. The app also allows you to change the backup folder path in Settings and you can also backup Contact´s group and picture properties. If you have any questions or something to say about the app, let me know in the comments.
