The Sony SmartBand 2 is described to be more of a lifelogger than a fitness tracker.
Are you stressed out? Who isn´t, right? There are just so many things to worry about. If it´s not for our family´s well being it is for trying to protect us from the insecurity that surrounds us. We should try not to feel too much stress since it can also affect our health, so if you want to track your stress level, you can always try the Sony SmartBand 2.
This new model features a heart-rate monitor and it does not have a display. Don´t worry about how you are going to get your notices since the SmartBand 2 depends on the colorful LED lights it features and the vibrations to let you know about your tweets, missed calls, messages and eMails.
The good news is that it should work with all Sony Xperia smartphones that have at least Android 4.4 KitKat and iOS devices with iOS 8.2 or higher. The SmartBand 2 should stay connected if you are within 10 meters from your phone. So, if you grab your HidrateMe, but not your phone the band will alert you that you left your phone behind.
With its accelerometer and its optical heart-rate, it will be able to measure your pulse so you will know your mood and stress levels and your fitness level. It can also monitor how well or bad you sleep and it can also be programmed to gently wake you up.
Thanks to the Sony Lifelog App you will have all of the information the SmartBand 2 gathered and you can see it in easy to read charts. The band is also waterproof for up to 3 meters for 30 minutes.
It is also dust-proof and its battery should last up to 2 whole days. Now you will have this band to monitor you stress levels and you can always count on the Acer Liquid Leap for you fitness tracking needs.
You will only need one hour to completely charge the band and it will be available worldwide next month. For now there is no exact date for its release, but it is going to sell for $132. When it comes to colors there is not going to much to choose from since it is only going to be available in black and white at launch, but a pink color will be coming later on.
