Looks like there is no production of Apple iTV as FoxConn denies rumors.
The hype was so much that FoxConn had to come out and say something about the rumors claiming that FoxConn was making preparations for the iTV. They had formally denied that they are getting ready for the mass production of the iTV since a report from China had claimed otherwise. The rumor started with China Daily report published Friday. The story was about a news conference held in Shanghai for Gua to discuss a new Foxconn headquarters being built in the city.
“At no time did he confirm that Foxconn was in development or manufacturing stages for any product for any of its customers…. Any reports that Foxconn confirmed that it is preparing to produce a specific product for any customer are not accurate,” a Foxconn representative.
It then went on to say say how the TV will feature Siri, Facetime and an aluminum construction. But CNN Money said China Daily was alone in its reports of Gua’s statements concerning the rumored Apple device. Looks like we are going to have to wit a little longer to actually hear FoxConn confirm the production but who knows when that day might be.
