Google discloses the smartwatches that will receive the Android Wear Oreo

The Android Wear walks through neglected by the major manufacturers, but is still receiving updates. The version of Ariel was released recently, and Google issued of which watches will receive it.

There is little that is new in the Android Wear Oreo. As we explain here, it limits some processes to save battery: “services will not be able to run in the background without a notification visible”.

In addition, he won the notification channels that we have seen in the Oreo for smartphones and tablets. This way, you can block certain alerts: for example, let an app send only news about technology.

We have also the Touch Lock, it only unlocks the screen when you press the power button on the side of the clock. The idea is to prevent accidental taps to turn the display — something useful if you use it underwater, for example.

In addition, the Wear Oreo allows you to choose the vibration intensity for notifications (normal, long, short); and has support for seven more languages, including Portuguese from Portugal.

Google has the list of the watches that will be updated for the Wear Oreo. There are some notable absences: the Asus ZenWatch 3, LG Watch R, Moto 360 Sport, Moto 360 second-generation and Huawei Watch of the first generation should stay in the Nougat. Not even the Tag Heuer Connected the original, released for US$ 1,500, will be awarded.
