Google Stops Android 4.0 Upgrade for Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been canceled for now, but why?

When Galaxy Nexus owners finally heard that they would be finally getting an ICS upgrade, it is obvious that they were jumping for joy but for some reason that Google is not talking about they have stopped sending notices to Galaxy Nexus Owners. Google has not officially said what the problem is but they did say that they have stopped distribution in order to monitor feedback. Could ICS be experiencing some technical dificulties?

Google spokesperson Paul Wilcox said, “If you received an update notification a little while ago but the update isn’t currently available for your phone, this is likely the result of Google pausing the update in your area while we monitor feedback. The Android 4.0 update is continuing to roll out around the world so your phone will receive another update notification when it’s available again in your region.”

That is probably the main reason why they have stopped sending notices to Galaxy Nexus Owners since some have reported having trouble after downloading Android 4.0. Problems such as their battery dying at a faster rate and that there wireless signal has been very weak. Google has not said anything on when they might think that they will have the problem fixed but if anything comes up we will definitely let you know.
