Today at a San Francisco event, Microsoft launches Office for iPad that includes Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
Good news for iPad users since they are finally able to enjoy Office on their iPads as of today. The news was given by Julia White Microsoft Office General Manager at a San Francisco event today. Office for iPad features PowerPoint, Excel and Word but the free version is for viewing only. Office for iPad is better the Office for iPhone and PowerPoint, Word snd Excel features a ribbon interface. Exactly like the ones users can find in Office for OS X and Windows.
With the apps you have the option of saving your documents onto OneDrive or you can also save them onto your iPad. iPhone users have Office 365 for iOS but it requires a subscription, The app was launched in June of 2013 but there is still no word as to when we are going to see an iPad version. The apps for iPad are absolutely free to view and download whether they be spreadsheets, documents or presentations. If you want to edit the documents, you are going to need a subscription for that.
Microsoft want Office to be available on all platforms but wo knows whent hat day is going to come. The Office Home Premium subscription is going to set you back US$99 a year or US$10 a month. There will son be a cheaper subscription but we are going to have to wait a little longer for that.
