The upcoming Skype Translator can translate a foreign language in real time, breaking through the language barrier.
Thanks to the upcoming Skype translator, the language barrier will no longer be just that, a barrier since it will be able to translate foreign words in real time. Microsoft has been working on this for about 2 years now but back then there were just to many things to fix in order to release the universal translator the general public.
Microsoft has posted that Skype has more then 300 million users and that at least 2 billion minutes are spoken daily and that this feature will be loved by many. With the Skype universal translator, there will be no need to learn a foreign language and will definitely save users time and money trying to learn a certain language.
In the video you will see a conversation between a man that only speaks German and a women that only speaks English and how they can perfectly understand each other thank to the Skype translator. The good thing is that we are not going to have to wait long since the Skype translator will be available by the end of this year as a Windows 8.1 beta app.
Microsoft has not said anything about it being available on other platforms but there is a good chance that we will be hearing more about that and hopefully soon.
